Quick answer
Wash your Mack Weldon boxer briefs in cold water on a gentle cycle and air dry them to preserve fabric and elasticity. Avoid high heat and fabric softener.
Why care matters for your 3-pack
A 3-pack bundle like the AIRKNITˣ Boxer Briefs or 18-Hour Jersey Knit Boxers is an investment in everyday comfort. Proper care keeps the fabric soft, the waistband snug, and the colors from fading. Skipping a few simple steps can wear out a pair in months instead of years.
How to care for your boxer briefs
- Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle: Turn each pair inside out to protect the outer fabric and reduce pilling. Use a mild detergent without bleach or fabric softener—softener breaks down elastic fibers over time. Hot water and harsh detergents are the fastest way to lose fit and color.
- Skip the dryer — air dry instead: Lay the briefs flat on a drying rack or hang them by the waistband away from direct sunlight. High heat from a dryer shrinks cotton blends and degrades elastic, causing the waistband to lose its snap. If you must use a dryer, choose the lowest heat setting and remove the briefs while still slightly damp.
- Store them loosely folded: Avoid overstuffing your drawer. Fold each brief gently without stretching the waistband. This prevents unnecessary stress on the elastic and keeps the fabric from creasing. Cramming underwear into a tight drawer can cause permanent waistband distortion.
